1. Introduction & Opening Statement
At Imperial Security, we believe that operating a responsible business means far more than simply delivering exceptional security services. It means being a force for good for our people, our clients, the communities in which we operate, and the wider world around us. As one of London's leading security service providers, Imperial Security serves a wide range of clients across the United Kingdom, spanning corporate offices, retail environments, educational institutions, hospitality venues, construction sites, warehouses, and public events. With every contract we undertake and every security officer we deploy, we are acutely aware of the responsibility we carry not only to protect property and people, but to uphold the values that define us as a business and as members of British society. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement sets out Imperial Security's commitments, principles, and ongoing actions across six key areas of responsibility: our people, our clients, our communities, our environment, our ethical conduct, and our governance. These commitments are not aspirational targets written to satisfy a checkbox they are the living standards by which we operate each and every day. This statement applies to all aspects of Imperial Security's operations throughout the United Kingdom and governs the conduct of all employees, contractors, subcontractors, and partners operating under the Imperial Security brand.
2. Our Commitment to Our People
The foundation of Imperial Security is our people. Every security guard, door supervisor, close protection officer, CCTV operator, key holder, and member of our management and support team is the beating heart of our organisation. We are only as strong as the individuals who represent us, and so our commitment to their welfare, development, and dignity is absolute.
2.1 Fair Employment & Workers' Rights
Imperial Security is committed to providing fair, lawful, and transparent employment to every individual who works with us. We operate in full compliance with UK employment law, including the National Minimum Wage Act 1998, the Working Time Regulations 1998, and the Employment Rights Act 1996. We ensure all security personnel receive clear and accurate written contracts, timely and correct payment of wages, full statutory rights including annual leave and sick pay entitlements, access to a workplace pension in line with auto-enrolment legislation, and transparent communication regarding their terms and conditions of employment at all times.
2.2 Training, Development & Professional Growth
All security officers deployed by Imperial Security hold a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence, which is a legal requirement for the provision of regulated security activities in the United Kingdom. Beyond mandatory licensing, we provide comprehensive induction and on-site training tailored to each assignment, ongoing specialist training courses aligned with evolving security threats and best practice, first aid and emergency response training across relevant service lines, conflict resolution and de-escalation training for all client-facing personnel, and sector-specific training for example safeguarding awareness for educational security officers and hospitality protocol for hotel and concierge security teams. We actively support and fund career progression pathways for motivated individuals within our organisation. We believe that a well-trained security officer is not only a safer and more effective one they are also a more confident, engaged, and valued member of our workforce.
2.3 Health, Safety & Wellbeing
The health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees is a paramount concern. Security work can place individuals in demanding and sometimes challenging situations, and we take proactive steps to protect our people's physical and mental wellbeing. We conduct thorough risk assessments for every assignment prior to deployment, ensure personnel are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where required, maintain open channels for reporting health and safety concerns without fear of reprisal, provide access to mental health support resources, review lone-working procedures regularly, and comply fully with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all associated UK regulations.
2.4 Supporting the Armed Forces Community
Imperial Security is proud of its strong connection to the UK's Armed Forces community. Many of our security officers and close protection specialists come from military and law enforcement backgrounds, bringing an exceptional level of discipline, professionalism, and situational awareness to every deployment. We actively support the Armed Forces Covenant and are committed to providing employment pathways for veterans transitioning to civilian life, valuing the unique skills and character of service personnel, supporting reservists in maintaining their training commitments, and honouring those who have served or continue to serve in the British Armed Forces.
3. Our Commitment to Our Clients
Imperial Security exists to serve its clients and to do so with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and reliability. Whether we are protecting a corporate headquarters, a university campus, a retail outlet, a film set, or a major public event, our clients place extraordinary trust in us. We take that trust seriously.
3.1 Quality of Service
We are committed to delivering consistently excellent security services across all of our service areas. Our approach to quality is underpinned by SIA-approved personnel across all regulated roles with regular independent audits, bespoke security solutions designed around the unique operational needs of each client, comprehensive site surveys and risk assessments prior to contract commencement, regular client communication and performance reviews, rapid response protocols for incidents and concerns, and 24/7 management availability to support both clients and deployed personnel.
3.2 Transparency & Honest Communication
We operate with complete transparency in all our client relationships. We do not overpromise or misrepresent our capabilities. Our clients receive honest, clear, and timely communication regarding all aspects of their security provision including any incidents, near-misses, or changes to their service as a matter of standard practice.
3.3 Data Protection & Confidentiality
Imperial Security handles sensitive client and personal data with the utmost care and responsibility. We operate in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our personnel are trained to handle sensitive information appropriately, and we maintain robust internal data governance procedures to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
3.4 Value for Money
We recognise that security is a significant investment for any business. Imperial Security is committed to delivering genuine value for money services priced fairly, structured transparently, and delivered to the highest possible standard. We believe that responsible procurement means offering competitive rates without compromising on the quality, vetting, training, or lawful employment of our people.
4. Our Commitment to the Community
Security is fundamentally a community service. When Imperial Security deploys officers at a school, a shopping centre, a warehouse, or a public event, we are not only protecting an individual client we are contributing to the safety and wellbeing of the wider community. We take that wider social function seriously.
4.1 Safer Communities
By deploying professional, SIA-licensed security personnel across London and the wider United Kingdom, Imperial Security contributes directly to community safety. Our work reduces crime, deters antisocial behaviour, protects public spaces, and creates environments in which people can go about their lives and businesses with confidence. We are proud to play a meaningful part in the security fabric of British society.
4.2 Educational & Institutional Safety
Through our dedicated educational security services, we protect schools, colleges, and universities across the UK. Security officers assigned to educational settings receive specialist safeguarding training and hold relevant enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. We understand that creating safe learning environments is one of the most important contributions a security company can make to society, and we approach this responsibility with the care and seriousness it deserves.
4.3 Local Employment & Economic Contribution
Imperial Security is committed to creating meaningful employment opportunities, particularly within the communities we serve. We actively seek to recruit locally where possible, supporting local economies and providing career pathways not merely jobs in the security industry. We are particularly proud of the routes we create for veterans, career changers, and individuals seeking to build a professional future in the private security sector.
4.4 Supporting Vulnerable Individuals
Our hotel, retail, educational, and event security teams regularly encounter members of the public who may be experiencing vulnerability whether through mental health difficulties, substance misuse, homelessness, or other challenging circumstances. We train our officers to respond to vulnerable individuals with compassion, dignity, and appropriate referral to emergency services or support agencies. How a security officer treats a vulnerable person says everything about the character of the company they represent.
5. Our Commitment to Environmental Responsibility
Imperial Security acknowledges that the security industry, like all sectors, has a responsibility to minimise its environmental footprint and contribute to the United Kingdom's sustainability goals. Whilst our operational model is predominantly service-based, we are committed to taking meaningful and measurable steps toward greater environmental responsibility.
5.1 Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
We are actively working to reduce the carbon impact of our operations by encouraging the use of public transport by security personnel where operationally feasible, optimising patrol routes for mobile patrol vehicles to reduce unnecessary mileage, transitioning our operational vehicles toward lower-emission alternatives over time, and reducing unnecessary business travel through the adoption of digital tools for management and administrative functions.
5.2 Responsible Resource Use
We are committed to operating with minimal waste and responsible use of resources. This includes reducing paper usage through digital reporting, electronic contracts, and online record-keeping; responsible procurement of uniforms, equipment, and supplies prioritising durable and ethically sourced products; and encouraging our suppliers and partners to demonstrate comparable commitments to sustainability and responsible resource management.
5.3 Compliance with Environmental Legislation
Imperial Security complies fully with all applicable UK environmental legislation, including the Environment Act 2021, the Climate Change Act 2008, and all associated regulations. We monitor developments in UK environmental policy and are committed to adapting our operations as legislation and guidance evolves.
5.4 Long-Term Environmental Goals
We recognise that environmental responsibility is an ongoing journey rather than a destination. We are committed to setting measurable environmental targets, monitoring our progress honestly, and reporting transparently on our performance. As we grow as a business, we are determined to ensure that our growth is sustainable in every sense of the word.
6. Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Imperial Security is proud to operate as an equal opportunities employer. We celebrate the diversity of our workforce and recognise that a team diverse in background, experience, gender, ethnicity, age, faith, and identity makes us a stronger, more effective, and more empathetic organisation.
6.1 Equal Opportunities
We are committed to ensuring that all employment decisions including recruitment, promotion, training, and performance management are made entirely on the basis of merit, capability, and relevant qualification, free from unlawful discrimination of any kind. We comply fully with the Equality Act 2010 and are committed to going beyond mere legal compliance in building a genuinely inclusive workplace culture.

Any allegation of such behaviour is taken extremely seriously and investigated thoroughly through our formal procedures.

6.4 Building an Inclusive Culture
Beyond policy, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture in which every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute. We encourage open dialogue about inclusion and diversity and recognise that building a truly inclusive organisation requires continuous effort, self-reflection, and a genuine commitment to listening to the lived experiences of our people.

We support the right of all workers to freedom of movement, fair remuneration, and freedom from coercion.
7.3 Responsible Subcontracting
Where Imperial Security engages subcontractors or partner agencies to supplement its security provision, we require all such partners to adhere to the same standards of conduct, compliance, and care that we apply to our own operations. Subcontractors are vetted carefully, must demonstrate valid SIA compliance, and are subject to ongoing oversight of the quality and conduct of personnel deployed under our brand.

We are committed to protecting individuals who raise genuine concerns in good faith.

The safety of our people, our clients, and the members of the public who interact with our services is non-negotiable. Imperial Security maintains a comprehensive Health & Safety management framework that governs all aspects of our operational activity. We view health and safety not as a regulatory burden, but as a fundamental expression of the respect we have for our people and for those we serve.
